Cobb Resource Center is open five days a week and is host to a wide variety of activities and programs for all ages.  Cobb Resource Center is surrounded by a playground, covered shelter and park.

Youth Programs

Play School
A fun learning environment which offers a beginner curriculum (alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, etc.). Kids will also play outside, eat lunch and take a nap.
Location: Arts & Crafts Room
Dates: Monday-Friday
Time: 7:30am-1:30pm
Ages: 3-4

After School Program
Days: M-F
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $30 per month city / $37 non city
A safe after-school environment that includes homework time, arts & crafts, organized games and a healthy snack. 

After School S.T.E.A.M
S.T.E.A.M focuses on science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Kids will do a daily project while learning to work together, introduce ideas and laugh along the way.
 Days: Monday-Friday
Time: 3:00-4:00pm
Ages: 5-12

Let's Get Physical
Kids will spend 30 minutes, twice a week, walking, jumping and dancing. This is a fun activity will exercise the kids without focusing on exercise.
Days: Tuesday, Thursday
Time: 3:00 – 3:30pm
Ages: 5-12

Drama Club
For youth interested in dancing, singing and acting. We put on shows 3 times a year in our gym area showcasing what the children have learned. Christmas play, Black History play, Thanksgiving, etc.
Days: Monday, Wednesday
Time: 3:30 – 4:30pm
Ages: 5-12

Youth Sports

Basketball Camp
Youth will learn the fundamentals of basketball. We teach dribbling, passing, shooting, where to be on offense and how to play defense. Kids will constantly be running and learning.

Time: 3:30-5:30pm
Ages: 5-12

Basketball League
Cobb center youth league is made up of participating youth in our various programs. We train, divide teams and play. Everyone plays.
Registration: Begins November 1, 2017
Days: Monday-Friday
Ages: 5-14
Cost: TBD

Competitive Basketball
Registration: Begins November 1, 2017
Deadline: January 5, 2018
Teams will play 8-10 games from January to March.
Cost per team: $250 w/ discount if bringing multiple teams

Senior Adult Programs

Seniors Program
Location: Multi-purpose room
Days: Monday – Friday
Times: 7:00am – 12:00pm
Age: 50+
Cost: $5/month
A social gathering for seniors who enjoy exercising, playing bingo, listening to oldies, taking shopping trips to Destin, eating at restaurants, going to casino or just chatting it up with other members of the group.

Senior Lunch Program
(provided by Council on Aging)
Location: Multi-purpose room
Days: Monday – Friday
Times: 11:00am – 12:00pm
Ages: 55+
A healthy lunch for Seniors provided by Council on Aging. Must be registered.

Senior Exercise
Location: Gym
Days: Monday – Friday
Times: 9:30am – 10:00am
Ages: 50+
Cost: $0
A short but hearty exercise for Seniors usually led by a DVD but occasionally taught by a seasoned professional.

Vera's Healthy Juicing
Days: Mondays
Time: 10am
Ages: 50+
Ms. Vera shows how to prepare a healthy mix of vegetables or fruit blended into a
liquid mix of goodness.

Senior Casino Trips
Days: Thurs.
Time: 8:00am-5:00pm
Cost: $10
Every 3rd Thursday a month, Cobb Senior's enjoy a comfortable ride to Biloxi to take in the sites, eat at the buffet and even play the slots. Spots are taken up fast so register early (non-members).

Seniors Feed the Needy
Days: Monday-Friday
Time: 7:00am-12:00pm
The entire month of October, Seniors have a canned food drive which enables them to pick 10 needy families and distribute food, a Turkey or Ham per box for Thanksgiving.

Adult Programs

Weight & Cardio Room
Our weight and cardio room is open to the public during normal operating hours.
cost: $1 per day or $10 a month, Free for those over 50 years. Users 14-16 must be accompanied by an adult, no users under 14.

Special Events

Welcome Back Seniors
Seniors are welcomed back from summer break with a soul cooked lunch, bingo and camaraderie.
Date: Sept. 8
Ages: 50+

Trunk or Treat
Our seniors and staff decorate the trunks of their cars and hand out candy to the after school children who get up in their costumes.
Date: Oct. 27
