Technology Resources is responsible for the following tasks:
Plan, coordinate, and direct all information technology, telecommunications services, and data and voice communication services, including wireless telephone and data services utilized by city staff.
Operate computer centers, a citywide data and communications network maintaining optimum levels of reliability, accessibility, and serviceability.
Review requests for acquisition of computer, telephone, network, software, and telecommunications equipment by city departments to ensure consistency with city standards, long-range objectives, and cost effectiveness guidelines.
Plan, coordinate, and implement new computer, telephone, telecommunications systems, and automated software applications where City of Pensacola's operations are located.
Provide for continuity of computer center, telephone system, and data network operations following any disaster affecting city facilities.
