Get ready to explore nature, learn new skills, and have a lot of fun in Play Pensacola Parks and Recreation’s Outdoor Pursuits Adventure Programs. We offer a wide variety of outdoor adventures ranging from summer camps and one day skills clinics in archery, camping, fishing, and paddle sports to wilderness survival training and everything in between.

Outdoor Pursuits and Adventure Holiday Camps

Fishing / Archery Day Camp

December 21, 2022 (Activity# 404049-24); February 20, 2023 (Activity# 404049-25)
Camp Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
$40 City Resident | $50 Non-City Resident
Ages: 8 - 16

Participants will spend the day fishing, learning about ethical angling and sharpening their shooting skills at city owned parks and greenspaces.

Spring Break Adventure Camp

March 13 - 17, 2023 (Activity# 404049-26)
Camp Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
$160 City Resident | $170 Non-City Resident
Ages: 8 - 16

This is one of those camps your child will talk about for years! Participants will have fun learning about kayaking, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, archery and environmental stewardship.

Outdoor Pursuits and Adventure Summer Camps

Beginning Fishing Camp

May 30 - June 2, 2023 (Activity# 404049-27)
Camp Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
$140 City Resident | $150 Non-City Resident
Ages: 7 - 14

Participants will learn to fish, identify species and enjoy the outdoors. Each participant will receive a tackle box and fishing pole at the end of camp.

Advanced Fishing Camp

June 12 - 16, 2023 (Activity# 404049-28); June 19 - 23, 2023 (Activity# 404049-29)

Ages: 8 - 16

If your child already knows how to fish and wants to learn places around town to fish, this is the camp for them! Participants will enjoy a charter boat trip on Thursday!

Kayaking / SUP Camp

June 5 - 9, 2023 (Activity# 404049-30); June 26 - 30, 2023 (Activity# 404049-31)
Camp Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Ages: 9 - 16

Participants will learn the fundamentals of kayaking and stand-up paddleboard (SUP), first in a pool and then out on the open water. Participants will enjoy a river trip on Thursday!
