Community Outreach Division

The Community Outreach Division of the Pensacola Police Department consists of officers whose primary focus is to build and maintain partnerships between the police department and the community, through events and educational programs. 

Included within the Community Outreach Division are the Traffic Unit, Pensacola International Airport, Community Redevelopment Agency Officers , School Resource Officers, Neighborhood Services Unit, K9 and Recruitment.

Also, under the Community Outreach Division is the Reserve Unit.

Members of the Pensacola Police Department’s Reserve Unit have successfully completed Criminal Justice Standards Police Recruit Training and a complete recognized field training program or have the equivalent law enforcement experience as determined by the Chief of Police.

They are permitted to ride solo, have the same law enforcement authority as full-time officers and may be assigned to work in any unit at the department. Their primary purpose is to augment uniform patrol.
