Officers assigned to the Neighborhood Services Unit do just that: Their focus is on helping to resolve neighborhood problems. From working details regarding noise complaints to working bike patrol in specific areas, these officers focus on improving neighborhood problems. There main goal is to improve areas within the city where we all live, work and play.
The department's specially trained electronic sniffing dog - named Taylor - also is assigned to this unit. He is one of a handful of dogs trained statewide to detect computer hardware used for illegal purposes. Working with his two-legged partner Officer Ike Isenberg, the team is often called upon to assist not only Pensacola Police but also other agencies with search warrants.
