SCHEDULING INSPECTIONS
Inspections may either be scheduled online through My Government Online (MGO), in your permit or via IVR at (866) 957-3764, option 5.
ONE & TWO FAMILY DWELLING INSPECTION LIST
Temporary Power Pole Inspection. To be made after the temporary pole is set in place and the service is ready to be established by Gulf Power.
Residential Erosion Control Inspection. Scheduled in conjunction with the footing inspection to verify all erosion control measures are in place.
Footing Inspection. To be made after trenches are excavated and all reinforcement is in place.
Slab Inspection. To be made after vapor barrier, termite treatment, grade beams, and reinforcements are in place.
Plumbing Rough-In Inspection. To be made after trenches or ditches are excavated, piping is installed, and before any backfill is put in place.
Wall and/or Roof Sheathing Inspection. To be made prior to installation of dry-in at the request of the contractor after all roof and wall sheathing and fasteners are complete and shall at a minimum include the following building components:
• Roof sheathing
• Wall sheathing
• Sheathing fasteners
• Roof/wall dry-in
Strapping Inspection. This is an optional inspection to be used when hurricane strapping will be covered up with sheathing or dry-in materials.
Window/Door Inspection. To be made upon installation of windows and prior to any siding, stucco, or brick.
Brick Tie Inspection. To be made after all wall sheathing has been inspected and vapor barrier, windows and doors, flashings, and all brick ties are in place. This is not required for buildings without brick veneer.
Plumbing Stack Out Inspection. To be made after the roof, framing, fire blocking and bracing is in place and all soil, waste, and vent piping is complete and prior to this installation of wall or ceiling membranes.
Mechanical Rough-In Inspection. To be made after the roof, framing, fire blocking and bracing are in place and all ducting, and other concealed components are complete and prior to the installation of wall or ceiling membranes.
Electrical Rough-In inspection. To be made after the roof, framing, fire blocking, and bracing is in place and prior to the installation of wall or ceiling membranes.
Gas Rough-in Inspection. To be made after the roof, framing, fire blocking, and bracing are in place, all gas piping and other concealed components are complete, system is pressurized, and prior to the installation of wall or ceiling membranes.
Framing Inspection. To be made after the roof, all framing, fire blocking, and bracing is in place, all concealing wiring, pipes, chimneys, ducts and vents are complete and shall, at a minimum, include the following building components:
• Window/door framing
• Framing/trusses/bracing/connectors
• Draft stopping/fire blocking
Insulation Inspection. To be made after all insulation is in place and just prior to drywall or wall finish installation.
Roofing Final Inspection. Shall at a minimum include the following building components:
• Dry-in
• Roof coverings
• Flashing
Temporary Power Inspection. To be made after the building is nearing completion, all required electrical equipment is in place and properly connected or protected, and all wiring is safe.
Plumbing Final Inspection. To be made after the building is complete, all plumbing fixtures are in place and properly connected, and the structure is ready for occupancy.
Mechanical Final Inspection. To be made after the building is complete, the mechanical system is in place and properly connected, and the structure is ready for occupancy.
Electrical Final Inspection. To be made after the building is complete, all required electrical fixtures are in place and properly connected or protected, and the structure is ready for occupancy. Power shall be on for the Electrical Final inspection.
Gas Final Inspection. To be made after the building is complete, all gas fixtures are in place and properly connected, and the structure is ready for occupancy.
Building Final Inspection. To be made after the building is completed and ready for occupancy.
