Summer Camps

The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department is your best resource for keeping your child active, healthy and having fun all summer long.  Play Pensacola Summer Day Camps are offered close to home at your neighborhood resource centers and the adventures your child will experience include exciting field trips, swimming, computer labs, special events and tons of indoor and outdoor fun! 

Our summer camp programs offer a safe, affordable, inclusive environment where children can explore their creativity, learn new skills, and make lasting memories.  

Our Day Camp program is offered Monday-Friday in five locations for the weeks when school is out following the Escambia County School System calendar. 

We also offer specialty camps for kids who love sports, dance and the great outdoors. These camps typically last one week with a variety of camps scheduled each week throughout the summer. Specialty Camp dates, times, age ranges and costs vary according to each program.

2020 Day Camps

We have Day Camps that will be offered at your neighborhood resource centers where the adventures will include field trips, swimming, and tons of indoor and outdoor fun!

Dates: May 26-August 7, 2020
Camp Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Ages: 5-12 years old (must be starting Kindergarten through 5th grade)
Cost/Fees: We offer one of the lowest weekly tuition rates in the area with additional financial assistance available for qualifying families (limited funding available, extended to City residents only). Lunch and one snack are provided daily. Field trips are an additional expense and costs will vary based on the planned trip.

Open registration begins Wednesday, April 1 at 9:00 a.m. We offer a 10% discount per week for registrations made online with a $10 non-refundable deposit per week reserved through April 30, 2020.

Please be sure to print and sign a child registration packet for each child who will be attending and bring to your camp location prior to attending camp. We need a registration packet on file for each camper whether they register online or in-person.

2020 Performing Arts Camps

Gull Point Resource Center offers Performing Arts Camps each summer for boys and girl of all ages. Styles offered include Hip Hop, Tiny Dancer, Princess & Beach Party Dance Camps, and Musical Theater. 

Princess Dance Camp

This week long camp will include learning several dances, making princess party crafts and costumes and concludes with a mini recital. Please bring a snack each day.

Day : June 1-5               

Time: 9:00 am-noon 

Ages : 3-8

Fee:  $60 Resident/ $70 Non-Resident

Jojo Big Bow! Mini Hip-Hop / Tumbling Camp

This week long camp will incorporate hip-hop and tumbling. We will learn the basics of hip-hop dance and tumbling, make big bows and costumes and will end the week with a mini performance! Please bring a snack each day.

Day: June 8-12

Time: 9:00 am-11:30 a.m.

Ages: 4-8

Fee: $55 Resident/ $65 Non-Resident

Mermaid Dance Camp

This week long camp will include learning several dance, making mermaid crafts and costumes and concludes with a mini performance and family party to display all that is learned. Please bring a snack each day.

Day: June 22-26

Time: 9:00 am-noon   

Ages: 3-8

Fee: $60 Resident/ $70 Non-Resident

Beach Party Dance Camp

This week long camp will include learning several dance, making beach party crafts and costumes and concludes with a mini performance and family party to display all that is learned. Please bring a snack each day.

Day: July 6-10

Time: 9:00 am-noon

Fee: $60 Resident/ $70 Non-Resident

Musical Theater Camp

An introductory/beginner camp for students interested in the basic concepts of Musical Theater; singing, acting and dancing. We will end the week with a mini performance and family party to display all that is learned! Please bring a snack each day.

Day: July 13-17

BEGINNING FISHING CAMP

Your child will have fun learning to fish, species identification, ethical angling, and enjoying the outdoors. Each child will receive a tackle box and fishing pole at the end of camp.

some places around town to fish this is the camp for them!

SUP/KAYAK CAMP

Your child will learn the fundamentals of Stand-Up paddleboard (SUP) and kayaking, first in a pool then out on the open water. River Trip on Thursday.

CHALLENGER INTERNATIONAL Soccer Camp

CHIP BOES CHAMPIONSHIP BASKETBALL CAMP

Group and individual instruction, league and tournament play with age appropriate goals and balls. Each camper receives a basketball, camp shirt, and ice cream party. Three exciting sessions with four-time Panhandle Conference Coach of the Year Chip Boes!
