[ARCHIVED] Expect Monday traffic delays on Main Street

Geotechnical Engineering will begin drilling on Monday morning, June 1. Motorists should expect traffic delays on Main Street between South Tarragona Street and South Baylen Street. Drilling is expected to begin around 9am and last for approximately five hours.

“The plan is to do one-way traffic control around the drill rig and then move down the road as needed,” said Transportation Engineer, Ryan Novota. Two lane traffic will remain open where possible to ease traffic flow.

Geotechnical Engineering will be drilling to gather data to examine factors that contribute to the declining conditions. Although the road remains safe, a proactive effort is being made to capture data for future projects.
