The City of Pensacola is now accepting proposals for a one-year trial program for micromobility devices, which is expected to begin in January 2020.
The request for proposals is available on the city's website. The deadline to submit proposals is Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 at 2:30 p.m.
Pensacola City Council approved the trial program and the boundary map in September, which will allow two companies to operate with up to 250 e-scooters or e-bikes each.
Once the request for proposals closes, a selection committee will then select two companies and negotiate contracts before the companies begin operation in January 2020.
