The City of Pensacola invites the community to attend a special Tree City USA recognition/Arbor Day celebration event on January 15, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at the Gull Point Resource Center, 7000 Spanish Trail.
The Parks and Recreation Department and children in the after-school program will plant a long leaf pine at the neighborhood resource center in celebration of Arbor Day and Pensacola's 25th year being designated as a Tree City USA community.
Children attending all 4 of the City’s after school programs will be given the opportunity to take home a free long-leaf pine seedling to plant with their family. A limited number of seedlings will also be available to the general public for planting.
