A man escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash after he robbed a local bank this afternoon.
The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. at Sun Trust Bank, 6700 N. Davis Highway, when the suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash. Detective Ozzy Teeters said the suspect did not display a weapon but indicated he had one.
The suspect was described as a thin white male about 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 5 wearing a tan long-sleeved shirt, baggy blue sweat pants and possibly red socks. He was balding on top and had a scar or injury on the right side of his head.
The suspect is believed to have gotten into the passenger side of a light blue SUV and left the area.
