The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a National Arbor Day ceremony on Friday, April 27, 2018 with the East Hill Neighborhood Association by adding a live oak to the 12th Avenue Tree tunnel.
The official tree planting and reading of the proclamation will take place beginning at 10:00 a.m. in front of 3805 N 12th Avenue. The Parks and Recreation Department will also have a limited number of shade tree seedlings available to give to residents attending the ceremony.
The City of Pensacola is proud to be recognized as a Tree City USA community by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management. This is the 27th year for the City of Pensacola to receive the designation.
