    Pack your coolers and bring your lawn chairs and join us at the Hunter Amphitheater for the Blues Angel Music Blues on the Bay Concert Series presented by Audi Pensacola. Enjoy a cool breeze off the bay while dancing and listening to some of the region's best musical talent. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

  1. Rental Housing Initiative Meeting

    August 16, 2018, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm @ Whibbs Conference Room

    City Councilwoman Jewel Cannada-Wynn will host a rental housing initiative meeting on Thursday August 16, 2018 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Vince Whibbs Conference room located on the 1st floor of City Hall. This meeting will allow for discussion of the need for safe, decent and well maintained residential rental property within the City. Input regarding the development of a program to proactively identify blighted, deteriorated and substandard rental property and to ensure the rehabilitation or elimination of such housing that does not meet minimal standards is desired. Standards should address life, health and safety issues as well as identifying deferred or inadequate maintenance.

  2. Pensacola City Council District 2 Town Hall Meeting

    August 20, 2018, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm @ Asbury Place behind Cokesbury UM Church

    Sherri Myers, Pensacola City Council, District 2 is hosting a town hall meeting Monday, August 20, 2018 regarding Carpenter’s Creek. The meeting will provide the public an update on the critical design of the Ninth Avenue Bridge that crosses Carpenter’s Creek located south of Bayou Blvd. There will be an update on the campaign to control the invasive air potato vine on Carpenter’s Creek using an exotic beetle cultivated by the state of Florida. Four hundred beetles have been released at various locations along Carpenter’s Creek. Escambia County is in the process of hiring a master planner for Carpenter’s Creek with the use of RESTORE funds. We will discuss the progress of that effort, including important storm water projects by the City of Pensacola. Laurie Murphy, executive director of the Emerald Coastkeepers will provide an update on efforts to clean Carpenter’s Creek and future events.

Visit City Hall on August 15, snap a photo of yourself or you and a group of friends and post the photo to social media using the hashtag #CityHallSelfie so everyone can see. City Hall Selfie Day is put on by Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL). ELGL will be handing out trophies, recognition and prizes for the people and organizations that show the most pride and creativity. Let's show them what Pensacola has to offer!

    Come join Ocean Hour’s clean up at Project Greenshores, also know as Wayside Park East, the third Saturday of every month. Project Greenshores is at the Three Mile Bridge on Bayfront Parkway and encompasses Wayside Park, Graffiti Bridge and Bartram Park. 745 Bayfront Parkway. Buckets, grabbers, gloves and trash bags will be supplied. All we need is you to join us. Sign in at 8:45; clean up from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
